Barthélemy (Bart) Helg

Chairman

Barthélemy (Bart) Helg has been the Chairman of Dara Capital since 2015. He is the founder of the biotech company AB2 Bio Ltd. and is active in private equity in emerging and frontier markets. Bart also serves on the board of directors for several companies.

Until 2006, he was a Managing Partner of Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie (LODH) in Geneva, where he served as the Global Head of Investment Banking. In this role, he also chaired LODH’s credit and emerging markets fixed income center and was a member of the bank’s Credit, Risk, Finance and IT Committees.

Previously, Bart was Vice-President at Nestlé SA, responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions and Investor Relations, where he oversaw more than 70 transactions across all continents. Prior to Nestlé, he worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs Financial Institutions Group in New York.

Bart holds an LL.B/LL.M. from the University of Geneva, an LL.M. from NYU and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has practiced law in Zurich, Geneva and Boston, and is currently licensed as an attorney in both Geneva and New York.
